CAGE SYSTEMS ARE DESIGNED TO FIT YOUR SPECIFIC BUILDING DESIGN,GOALS AND OBJECTIVES


CAGE CONSTRUCTION

  • Cage sizes designed to meet or exceed animal welfare guidelines.
  • All cage floors manufactured from 1” X 2” Galvanized.
  • After Weld (hot dipped) wire mesh providing superior corrosion resistance.
  • One hand operated sliding doors.
  • Individual 61 cm. wide cage floors are supported by 244cm. long galvanized wire producing a spring like floor with walking effect reducing leg injuries.
  • Horizontal cage door wires reduce feed waste by birds.
  • Sturdy 14 gauge galvanized leg supports located every 122cm.
  • Breast plates are used to reduce egg pecking on the egg belt.
  • The simple design utilizes few parts and fasteners reducing installation costs.
  • Exclusive “S-bend” at the egg tray eliminates the need for egg belt guides and hold downs.

EGG COLLECTION

  • Variable speed egg collection and egg belt drive system movethe egg belts at up to 300 cm. per minute.
  • All egg belts are collected simultaneously providing efficientegg collection rates.
  • An uncomplicated timed egg loading system ensures eggs seldom touch producing fewer cracks.(Under normal circumstances, timing will not need to be adjusted).
  • The egg collection system has the ability to unload eggs onto an overhead or in-floor cross conveyor, or onto a conveniently located table for hand packaging.
  • Egg belt brush cleaners are located at the idler return end providing a clean egg belt every rotation.
  • The open design of the egg collection system allows for manure and dirt to be separated from the eggs resulting in cleaner eggs.
  • One motor and gear box per row reduces energy requirements.
 

MANURE REMOVAL

  • Wide manure rails reach past the bird area preventing droppings from reaching the feed trough or egg belt on the tier below.
  • Manure belt drive units use 15.25 cm. diameter manure belt drive rollers and powered pinch rollers to power belts on rows in excess of 150 M. long.
  • Vulcanized rubber drive rollers are optional and provide greater belt traction.
  • Most lengths of cage rows require only one motor and gearbox reducing energy requirements.
  • The manure belt drive units are shipped assembled to reduce installation time.
 

CHAIN FEEDING

  • Proven and reliable Cumberland flat chain feeding with a choice of chain speeds.
  • 20 gauge galvanized hi lip feed trough reduces feed waste and is strong enough to support the weight of an average size worker.
  • Feed trough clean outs are located over the manure belts allowing for simple clean out between flocks.
  • The feeding program can easily be managed due to the wide range of feed level adjustments.
 

WATERING SYSTEM

  • Cumberland stainless steel nipple watering system.
  • The water is located over the cage back partition.
  • Nipple spacing is 30.5 cm. providing the birds with access to 2 nipples per cage.
  • A drip trough is located under the drinker line to catch any excess water promoting dry manure.
  • Low pressure high flow system design provides plenty of water even on long rows.
